ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE AND DISSENT FOR POSTCOLONIAL URBAN SUSTAINABILITY TRANSITIONS

Environmental justice principles are widespread at national and global levels of transition discourse, but this is sometimes irrelevant to marginalized communities. To address issue, we apply environmental theory a participatory postcolonial urban case study where poverty, unemployment inequality continue incentivize unregulated exploitation vulnerable environments people. It unclear how legislation can provide for indiscriminate access that promote wellbeing in complex communities, xenophobic economic discrimination reproduces colonial-style inequalities. resist injustice, the combination academic ordinary expressions critique confront regressive praxis orthodoxies becomes valuable constructive political innovation transitions. Empirical results suggest enfranchising most proponents transformation could advance their capital advocate themselves, formulate enculturate decolonized visions sustainability, demand governmental commercial accountability foster reform relevant them.
